I know I’ve touched on this in the past, but seriously I can’t believe how much I’ve learned and pushed myself over the past 6 months. I think it just goes to show that growth doesn’t just occur during the school years. Yes, I’m doing some formal learning (tennis lessons!!!!) but I’m also learning on the fly. Practicing my skills, collaborating with others, reading, and just plain old thinking about my goals and how I’m going to achieve them.
I’m writing this because I don’t think I ever would have thought I would have had this period of crazy learning and growth in my life at the age of 37. Never. If you had asked my 18 year old self what I was doing at 37, or even my office bound self at 28 I don’t think I would have ever imagined it.
It’s not easy. There’s self doubt, there’s loneliness, there’s mistakes, there’s lessons that I’ve had to learn and there’s a lot of hard hard work involved but it’s all worth it.
OK enough seriousness. I have no idea what we’re doing this weekend but I’m sure it will be fun and I’ll keep you guys updated! We’ll probably be cracking open the bottle of Mionetto Prosecco I received (perks of being press!) It’s new to Quebec and I can’t wait to try it.
xx Michelle
