Continuing on our quest to find interesting parks around Montreal I put out a call on Facebook and a friend suggested Nathan Shuster Park in Côte-St-Luc. Another friend told me about Stroller Parking. It’s an amazing website and blog I wish I’d known about ages ago that has all the information you’d ever want to know on parks in and around Montreal.
If you are interested in learning more about Montreal’s fantastic playgrounds please do go check it out.
Stroller Parking’s post on Nathan Shuster Park has a detailed description on what is found at this park, but I think these photos pretty much say it all.
This park stands out for me because it really feels like you are in a forest with the whole forest theme going on with the playground equipment including an awesome zip line. They kept all the endemic trees so it feels very natural. Our home playground of Westmount Park is also full of trees but they are really from all over the world and doesn’t have that same natural forest feel.
I would say this park is geared towards older kids although our youngest 18 month old had a lot of fun too. The park is huge and even on a beautiful Saturday afternoon was not crowded at all.
If you are tired of crowded parks and want something a little different, I really recommend checking it out.
