Continuing on my St-Henri tour (see yesterday’s post on Le Kitchen) I thought I should mention the quick stop I made at Pop Art which serves artisinal… you guessed it… popsicles!
These popsicles are made with a wide variety of flavours and are not as sugary as the ones you’d find at your local corner store. I visited them at their shop on a quiet side street in St-Henri but they are also found close to the Montreal Science Centre in the Old Port and at a few festivals (check where here.)
Because of their low sugar content, I’d recommend something a bit on the sweeter side – I liked my banana-mango combo but a friend of mine had a lime-coconut version and was a bit surprised at how non-sweet it was. Also a little warning – they are $3.50 a pop – not cheap but considering they are made locally with fresh ingredients I think it’s fine for a nice treat on a hot day. Their St-Henri location has a quiet little courtyard with picnic tables where you can slurp up your popsicle.
