I was recently invited to the Palladium & Swims FW’14 preview at the swish Hotel Gault. My husband is a huge fan of the Swims line, so how could I say no to get a sneak peak at what is to come for both lines.
Palladium’s winter sport collection are fully waterproof!! Bonus! ($135 – $170)
They even have a line for the little munchkins which I thought was cute.
I didn’t know too much about Palladium going in, but the French brand has been around since 1920 first to make tires for the aviation industry and then in 1947 they started creating their iconic boots. I love the ruggedness of the brand.
Swims, on the other hand, first debuted in our household with the sleek overshoes, or how my Francophone husband calls them – ‘clacks’. They come in a variety of colours (including more traditional colours) and are somewhat essential if men want to wear nice shoes to work without destroying them in the wet and snow.
The line also includes quick drying boat shoes which are also a household favourite. Swims has proven so popular that they’ve expanded to include runners, outerwear, bags and even an umbrella!
Swims are available at a few places in Montreal including WANT Apothecary.
Palladium Boots are also available at a few places around town including Little Burgundy.
