I’d driven past this Parc Margeurite-Bourgeoys in Pointe St-Charles a few times and new I wanted to check it out. We like to explore new parks (see here, here, here and here) so when I had both boys on my own for the morning I decided the time was right.
There was something about the vastness of the park (a city block), the way the trees were laid out so evenly and the huge statue right in the middle that made it so attractive to me. Plus, I’d never been there so really, why not check it out.
It’s pretty massive and there was no one there so I felt pretty OK with letting the kids run. And that’s really what they like best. Running around, exploring, picking up sticks and bark and stones. This tree stump had them fascinated.
There’s no playground per se, but there is tons of room to play and explore and plenty of picnic benches and shade. And if you want to avoid the crowds, on an absolutely gorgeous August morning during a Friday we were the only ones there.
Like what you see? I’m also a family, newborn and small business photographer offering candid, relaxed sessions that capture all those wonderful, unscripted moments in life. See my website to see why my photography is different or contact me with questions or for my availability.
