Dinette Nationale calls itself a manufacturer of sweets (fabrique de choses sucrées), and when I discovered this Montreal company online through Foodie Pages I wanted to find out more about it. This lead me to the boutique-workshop Raplapla where I discovered the cutest, most unique dolls EVER. Owned by Erica Perrot, the entire shop is just so creative and lovely. And of course, I also found Dinette Nationale which is owned by both Erica and Catherine Lepine Lafrance who makes the sweets.
The dolls are created onsite and many of them have names and clearly their own personality. If you follow along on their website, there seems to be an entire world devoted to these dolls.
They also stock other brands, including these teeth from La Fée Raille with a pocket for the tooth fairy in the back. I couldn’t resist and bought one for my son, even though he’s just getting his baby teeth. But it doesn’t end there, as there is also all the deliciousness from Dinette Nationale to peruse.
I picked up a few treats for myself and can’t wait to try more. While there, I was also told about the Sweet Tooth Circle (Cercle des Croqueurs de Choses sucrées). You sign up to receive a monthly selection of sweets, new items and seasonal items exclusive to members. For example, she mentioned jams as a seasonal item. You can choose a subscription for 1 month, 6 months, or a year. What a perfect gift for someone with a sweet tooth!
You can check out Raplapla online or at their lovely boutique at 69 Villeneuve West
Dinette Nationale also has an online store
