I don’t normally do posts talking about yet unopened restaurants, but Westmount is just lacking so much in restaurants that I feel that an exciting opening is worthy of a post!
I found out about this place when I interviewed Chef Antonio Park who owns Restaurant Park for an upcoming piece in Urban Expressions. Construction has started on a new place that will be called Lavanderia and occupy the restaurant next to Park on Victoria (I think it was a Japanese place?) It’s going to be South American barbecue on charcoal and there will be a 24 foot charcoal grill all in binchotan – which is a Japanese charcoal that goes up to 1000 degrees. It will be a little bit of South American barbecue, a little Korean barbecue and there will also be fish.
That’s it! But isn’t it exciting?
