I have heard good things about Mandy’s salads for a while now. They used to have a small spot in Mimi & Coco but have now moved into their own super cute digs.
We were recently in the area and we thought we’d check them out. We had to wait a while for our salads, but when they finally arrived my husband and I both agreed they were worth the wait.
So far I’ve tried three of them (Asiatique, December and The Fave), and they were all very good. My husband loved his caesar salad, and you can also design your own. You can see their menu on their website here. The salads are very large and filling so are well worth the $10.
My only caveat would be the wait. They seem to be a victim of their own success. I’ve gone twice, at what I would describe as off-peak and waited 20 minutes both time. If you’re in a rush or just impatient, I recommend calling ahead.
Decor: Very cute and well thought out.
Price: You may think $10 for a take away salad is pricey but they are huge and the majority of ingredients are organic
Service: Read above…
Food: Very good
Good For: Lunch to go. There are only a few tables and the space is small. Unless you snagged an outside table (which would be lovely) eating inside may be a bit tight especially if the place started filling up.
Baby Friendly: Well, food to go is always baby friendly. I don’t think I’d bring junior for a lunch date though. It’s just a bit tiny. Having said that, there’s room to bring in your stroller while you wait.
