Mlles Gâteaux in Villeray

I had the absolute pleasure of talking to the super nice owners of Mlles Gâteaux who have just opened up on rue Villeray in.. Villeray.  If you’ve ever eaten at Pastaga and swooned over the desserts, well that was Isabelle Leroux.  She’s famous for the carrot cake she made while she was there, and guess what folks… it’s now available at Mlles Gâteaux.  The other partner is Fanny Theriault who is a master cake maker and can make gorgeous wedding or event cakes.

I tasted that interesting concoction with the doughnut on top, which is a coffee like mousse with a surprise in the middle.  Delicious!! And of course that carrot cake…  They also have bread from Arhoma, brownies, cookies and all sorts of other goodies.  When I was there, there was no seating available but Jarry Park isn’t far and what a picnic those goods would make!

I really encourage you to check them out for their inventive, yet seriously professional and good desserts.  Plus, they are just so sweet and passionate about what they do!
